Regional Trade Fairs

Students from the six Young Enterprise regions will be setting up shop at various Shopping Centres around Northern Ireland at the start of February. Over 500 young people will selling their very own products and offering shoppers something different to traditional retailers. From 10am to 2pm the student companies, who have been running since September, will gain hands on experience of trading with the public and have a chance to check out the competition.

At each of the trade fairs, the students will not only have to impress customers, but also a panel of judges, with a variety of awards up for grabs, including a Social Media award, Best Salesperson and of course; Best Overall Company. The volunteer Judges are drafted in from local businesses to assess the students against strict criteria, and provide useful feedback.

This year, the Federation of Small Businesses are official supporters of the regional trade fairs. Find out more about FSB here.

Young Enterprise Chief Executive Carol Fitzsimons commented “We would like to invite friends and relatives of these exciting young entrepreneurs to come along and support their local Young Enterprise companies. Each year the standard at the regional trade fairs improves and we are looking forward to seeing what the companies have come up with!”.
