Holding a Successful Trade Fair

Trade fairs may seem as only a way to sell your product – but they’re much more than that. They’re your opportunity to get out in your community, meet your neighbours, and create goodwill for both yourself and Young Enterprise Northern Ireland.

Here are some tips on making your trade fair a successful one.

  • Before you go to the trade fair, outline your goals. For example, to sell so many products, to make a certain impression on the public.
  • Pay close attention to how you can make your trade fair stand represent your company most effectively.
Pay special attention to how you will display your products. Make the stand interesting and well-organized. Use lots of colour.
  • Make sure the personnel at the stand are informative and well-qualified.
  • Be pleasant and courteous to everyone who visits your stand – whether they buy something or not.
  • Make sure you’re well-presented – your goal is to make a positive impression on the public.
  • When you take down your stand at the end of the day, make sure you leave the trade fair premises as you found them.
