Bank of Ireland renews commitment to Young Enterprise NI, supporting inclusive enterprise education.
Bank of Ireland has reaffirmed its commitment to Young Enterprise Northern Ireland, continuing its role as a key ESG Business Backer and champion of enterprise education for young people across the region.
Building on a successful and long-standing partnership, Bank of Ireland will once again work closely with Young Enterprise NI to deliver inclusive, accessible programmes that equip young people from all backgrounds with the skills, confidence and ambition to succeed in the modern workforce.
Through this ongoing collaboration, Bank of Ireland colleagues will play an active role in programme delivery, volunteering their time and expertise in classrooms and workshops. They will support practical business activities, share real-world insights on setting up and managing a business, and help young people develop vital financial literacy and sustainability awareness.
The partnership places a strong emphasis on inclusivity, ensuring that young people-regardless of background or circumstance - have access to high-quality enterprise education and the opportunity to develop essential life and work skills.
George Higginson, Managing Director, Everyday Banking, Bank of Ireland, said:
“We are proud to continue our partnership with Young Enterprise NI, an organisation that shares our commitment to empowering young people. Financial literacy is an essential skill, and one that many struggle with. By supporting inclusive enterprise education we can equip young people with the knowledge, confidence and skills they need to adopt good financial habits which will greatly benefit them now and long into their future.
“Our colleagues play a key role in our partnership, getting directly involved and sharing their expertise to inspire and equip the next generation of business, civic and societal leaders with key life skills including financial capability, teamwork and entrepreneurship. It’s a partnership we value and which delivers meaningful, long-term impact for individuals, communities and the wider economy.”
Carol Fitzsimons MBE, CEO of Young Enterprise NI, added:
“We are incredibly grateful to Bank of Ireland for their continued support and commitment to our work. Long-term partnerships like this are vital in enabling us to deliver consistent, high-quality programmes that make a real difference in young people’s lives.
“Their ongoing investment not only strengthens our ability to reach more young people in an inclusive way, but also ensures continuity in the delivery of essential enterprise and financial education. Together, we are creating opportunities, building confidence and preparing the next generation with the skills they need to thrive in an ever-changing world.”
As the partnership continues to grow, both organisations remain focused on delivering lasting impact - supporting young people to realise their potential and contributing to a more inclusive and entrepreneurial future for Northern Ireland.
