Young Enterprise NI is proud to support Talk Money Week, taking place from 2–6 November 2026, encouraging people of all ages to start conversations about money.
This year’s theme, “It All Counts”, highlights how small, realistic actions and conversations can make a meaningful difference to our financial wellbeing.
At Young Enterprise NI, we believe that developing financial capability from an early age is an important part of preparing young people for their future.
According to the Money & Pensions Service, money skills begin to develop between the ages of three and seven, meaning that talking to children about money early can help them build positive habits for life.
Simple conversations about saving, spending, needs and wants or setting goals can provide valuable opportunities for children and young people to develop their understanding and confidence around money.
Through our programmes, Young Enterprise NI puts these principles into practice, giving young people opportunities to develop practical financial skills and apply their learning to real-world situations.
Start the conversation
Throughout Talk Money Week, we’ll be sharing conversation starters and practical ideas across our social media channels to help young people, parents, educators and our wider community get talking about money.
Because you don’t need to have all the answers – sometimes, one simple conversation is enough to get started.
It All Counts.
Follow Young Enterprise NI throughout 2–6 November and join the conversation using #TalkMoney #TalkMoneyWeek #ItAllCounts.
