Students develop skills and positive attitudes as they make the leap from primary to post-primary school

Series of enterprise challenges as students take on the role of small business owners with a business volunteer.

Young people develop money management skills for life, with introductions to credit and debt savings, budgeting and more.

Primary Programmes

Through story book characters, pupils learn about the "world of work" and the importance of saving, earning, decision making and teamwork.

5 sessions of 30-40 minutes

Pupils are lead through a discovery of how people and businesses operate within a community. They look at shops and services which make up a community and are introduced to tax and voting.

4 sessions of 30-60 minutes or a half day seminar

Pupils learn what countries of the world rely on each other for resources.  Through a variety of hands on activities and games, pupils simulate the decisions that countries and businesses make and broaden their understanding of import and export.

4 sessions of 30 minutes or a half day seminar

Pupils identify family members and learn about the basic living needs and wants that they have.  They begin to realise the difficult decisions that families have to make in order to pay for these.

4 sessions of 30-40 minutes

Pupils identify the main features of a city and explore some of the jobs within a city and the skills that workers need.  They are introduced to business planning and being an entrepreneur.

4 sessions of 30-60 minutes or a half day seminar

Entrepreneurship Programmes

Company Programme gives students first-hand experience of setting up and running their own real business.

The Programme is split into 7 Steps which takes students through running a business.

The only programme of its kind in the UK designed to help students, with learning difficulties or disabilities run a real company at their own pace.

YE Potential helps to build practical skills, readying students for the workplace.  The programme is designed to be completed by students individually
